Written by Nikos Moschovos

The Tower is high,

my soul is sold out

to the dream

to the dream.

My baby,

I am waiting in the street

I am thinking of the pictures;

The puzzle is now completed.

The guitar

is heard in the background

It vibrates my senses

It carries my mind away.

The Advertisement cuts off

the association of ideas.

There’s the news of the day.

A meeting

a discussion;

My soul is sold out

to the tables of rates

to the resurrection of chaos

to the remembrances of Rock ‘n Roll;

The repetition service.

The Tower is high,

and you are looking at the match

the same piano you are playing

the rain you are gazing.

You don’t know how to take,

You don’t know how to give.

You are flying

I am flying;

The sun has not set yet.

I went downtown

In the same haunts I walked

a vapid dash I cut;

I remained the same

as on the day of my birth

naked

yet loyal to my dream

and my soul

is devoted to it.

You are flying

I am flying

to places we have never been.

The butterfly we never touched.

Here are the distorting lies

of the television.

The blues is going on

on the dance floor

with no lights.

All attention is turned

To the loudspeaker

You are listening to music.

Cheerful days I haven’t known.

Cheerful days you haven’t known.

The Tower is so high,

nature is so wide;

The drums are whipping my feet up

The sea smells

And my soul is sold out

to the dream

to the dream.

Lewis is not here

J.J. did not even appear tonight.

The Tower is high,

my baby,

and I don’t know

what the devil

It’s doing there.
