Refusal
Written by Nikos Moschovos

When you spit, little girl,
at your idol
you feel nothing anymore,
You are only a wooden doll.
When you spit
at the man you adore,
at that same man you had raised once,
then you are just a lost soul,
nought.
You say you believe in him
but you know nothing,
because everything is a matter of principle.
You demolish
Your love, your life.
Everything leads you to refusal.
Keep on spitting,
Keep on spitting your false idol
You little girl.
Well, what are you going to tell your friends?
That you feel like the “number one”
In your wild ecstasy.
I wonder: Is anything human
left in you?
