Wealth
Written by Nikos Moschovos

Wealth,
Words and actions
industrial espionage
rivalries
competitions.
Receptions,
Public Relations,
Untrue Friends
true enemies.
Wealth,
Always solitary
like the raven
waiting
to mangle
its dead prey.
Wealth,
A horrid life
given over to degeneration.
Conscience
Has surrendered,
now there is no
“must not”,
All is permitted
All is forbidden.
Wealth,
Trumpets
Grand feasts
lost souls
premieres
mysterious deaths.
The little game
a crime of the first degree.
Backstage
Limelight,
man- eaters
sitting at the same table.
Wealth,
You earn it,
but you never really
own it.
Upon your gravestone
crocodile tears
will drop,
Nobody will remember your afterwards.
They will turn their backs
and the daily grind they shall push
new dealings and profits to make
a stable rhythm to keep.
Wealth.
